  • No server mods are allowed.
  • All games will use Uber’s servers unless stated otherwise.
  • Games must be played on the US servers.
    • If both players are located in the same region, and that region is not the US, they may agree to play on that region’s servers instead.
  • The challenger will host the first game.
    • Further games are hosted by the loser of the previous game.
  • The host will setup the game as a two player FFA with dynamic alliances switched off.
  • Three spectator slots will be opened.
  • The lobby name will be King of the Planet
  • The agreed password will be used.
  • Allow commanders to spawn anywhere may be enabled at the host’s discretion.
  • Make spectator chat visible should be left unchecked. If it is necessary to contact you then the event staff will do so through Mumble voice chat.
  • The host may use any system within the following guidelines:
    • multi-planet spawns are allowed
    • up to three asteroids can be used
    • minimum planet radius 400
      • asteroids are excluded from this rule
    • each biome may only be used once per-player for single planet systems
    • each planet in a multi-planet system must use a different biome
    • any planetary collisions must be declared
    • Breach of these requirements will lead to your opponent hosting and loss of your rehost privileges for the game.
  • You must use the same colour every game.

  • One rehost is allowed per-player per-event.
    • When calling rehost you also decide whether the rehost is on the same system or your opponent must choose a different one.
      • A system is considered different only if the biome or seed changes for every planet.
    • A rehost must be called prior to spawning.
  • The host may not request a rehost.
  • Casters are not involved in rehost decisions.

Technical Difficulties

  • Please consult this guidance on how to handle issues joining lobbies.
  • PA Stats will pause the game in the event that a player crashes.
    • If a player is unable to reconnect, and contact between the players has occurred, they will forfeit the game.
  • A server crash will be referred to the tournament director and a decision will be made on whether to assign a winner or rehost the game on the same map.
  • If you encounter an issue which impacts your ability to play then you should pause the game and contact the event staff.
  • All players/teams must confirm in chat that they are ready to continue before the game is unpaused.
  • We will do our very best to accommodate any issues you have with Internet access, hardware/software problems or unexpected real life events. However, if you cannot play your game at the expected time we may be forced to award you a loss.

  • If you require a comfort break then please communicate this to event staff.

  • If evidence of cheating is found or strongly inferred then you will likely be disqualified, your tournament winnings withheld, and you will be permanently banned from all future eXodus eSports events.
    • Anything currently possible in-game which is considered an exploit will be explicitly made clear to you before the tournament.
    • The use of mods of the type “client” in Community Mods is not considered cheating.

  • All disputes must be raised with the event staff through Mumble.
  • Screenshot any rule violations.
  • Do not respond directly to negative comments or make complaints public.
  • Issues with event staff should be raised with the tournament director via Mumble or IRC private messages.

  • Payments will be made via PayPal.
  • Any monetary payments will be made in the currency on the prize listing minus any transmission fees.
