So PA: TITANS is out, but what the hell is all this new stuff? If you’ve got a little Godde inside you and desperately need to see all the stats then you have a couple of options.

First is Unit Database, a mod which adds an option to the main menu allowing you to view all the stats for every unit in the game. It’s always current as it pulls the information straight from your game files.

Sometimes though you want to view that stuff without being in Planetary Annihilation. Well, good news, because PADB just got updated. It has has all the TITANS goodness for you to check out. So, get over there and start posting those balance suggestions based on no play time whatsoever! You know you want to.

Now, to figure out my new opening build…

Look Your Best With eXodus Merch

Running eXodus isn’t free, we pay both for hosting costs and tournament prizes. You might have noticed that we quietly slipped out the begging bowl a few weeks ago. But we’d rather do something that’s cool for you, our supporters, while enabling us to run even better events with even bigger prizes for all the Planetary Annihilation players and fans out there.

To that end we have set up a store with all sorts of awesome tournament swag. Grab a little memento of your time in Clan Wars, drink along with a Clopsey mug, or even put on one of our pretty swanky Evil Twin teddy tees. Or cuddle a cushion; because Bsport. We’ve already got a few of the goodies ourselves and we’re pretty excited by how well they turned out.

Check out the full catalogue and let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter with #exodusswag.

We have words for you. Find them in the new articles section.

We’ve added a new section to the site called articles, look for it up on the top menu. Here we’ll be collecting opinion pieces from both eXodus staff and top players (sometimes these two things even overlap!) within the community. Be it balance, modding, insights into the community, or anything else that comes to mind, it’ll be found in here.

Mini Mods Mayhem tournament banner

To kick things off check out the Mini Mods Spotlight, an article to help get you prepared for this weekend’s Mini Mod Mayhem tournament. And if you haven’t signed up already don’t worry, there’s still time. Don’t be scared, it’s going to be great fun.

We’ve also got my article on why expansion is dead and how to fix it, and expect a new piece soon from a top player on the intricacies of maps.

Our tournament database is getting fat

Over the last two weeks we’ve been working hard inputting the history of Planetary Annihilation tournaments into our database. Every tournament from now back to March – when the community first started using Challonge – has been imported. Every match, every player, every VOD, every PA Stats link. It’s all in there. That makes for:

  • 31 events
  • 777 matches
  • 250 players
  • 198 VODs

Just pop into the events tab and take a look. Or if you just want to see how the game has evolved in only a few short months, have a look in our videos section. While you’re at it, pop into one of your games and click your name to get to your player profile. See what your win ratio looks like, or how often you finish a game in under twelve minutes. What’s your longest winning streak?

As with any large piece of work there’s a possibility of error. if you see any mistakes please let us know through our Contact page. If you’re a caster whose VODs are not on the site yet, please drop us a line with your eXodus account name (ensuring you’ve linked it to your YouTube account) and we’ll get it sorted. If you’re a player who can’t update their player profile, again, drop us a line with your eXodus account name and we’ll get your account linked up to your profile.

And we’re not done yet, we want to capture every tournament that’s ever happened in this thriving community. But it’s tricky, records for many of them prior to March are hard to obtain. Please let us know if you can help with obtaining the following information for these events:

  • Tournament name
  • Organisers
  • Players
  • Casters
  • Matches
  • Results
  • Prizes

Look for further improvements in the near future. A better live page for events, the ability to subscribe to stuff and notifications baked right into your web browser, more information in the database, a better interface for checking videos, easier access to your profile, bigger and better guides, and much more.

If you want to be a part of all this, we’re still looking for people who can help us out with art and guides. Get in touch with us through the Contact page if you think you can help.

Stay tuned, this is just the beginning.

We’ve launched a new homepage!

Many people, including us, weren’t happy with the original homepage of eXodus. It didn’t really show you what we had to offer.

Well, we’ve just launched a new homepage which we think much better exposes that. You can more easily see what events have been happening, what the latest matches are, what event is coming up next. There’s even a whole new videos page to let you get straight at the caster content or some of the POV videos we’ve been adding.

And if you weren’t aware, we recently added player profile pages. By clicking on a player name in any match you can now check which events and matches a player has been in, along with a few key stats that let you know how they stack up. And if you’re a listed player with an account you can update your own profile information and avatar.

We’ve still got more planned, more and better stats, more events, more guides, better handling of multiple videos for one match, and much more. This is just the beginning of a long journey for us.

We’d very much welcome you letting us know what you think!

5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1..

It’s not long ago that the Planetary Annihilation held its breath in excitement, as for the first time ever, players were going to compete with each other in a real tournament, with commentators, streams, and prizes. We’ve come quite a long way since then. The game has changed a ton. Orbital is a viable part of the game now. Pelters no longer rain the wrath of the gods on approaching armies. And the UTC-8 Pounder Histericles Titanium Insect Unit Cannon Ant has undergone another name change. But while the game itself has made a ton of progress, many of us who are now part of eXodus felt that the events, both in organization and in production, hadn’t kept up.

We created eXodus eSports with the intent of fixing that. After less than a week of development, and just a few weeks of planning, we’re proud to announce the launch of our new website, as well as the launch of our first major event: Supernova Showdown. At the same time, we’ll be using our resources and expertise to take cpt.conundrum’s and the King of the Planet series to new heights. With collectively years of experience in developing, hosting, and streaming esports events, we’re confident we can deliver these things and more, as we continue to take Planetary Annihilation esports to new heights.

The eXodus is coming. Don’t miss it.
